Give Users Access to Provider Search

To use provider search and view the search results, your users need the Health Cloud Provider Search permission set and access to several fields. You must also grant access to the Analytics Cloud Integration User profile, which is used by the Data Processing Engine to generate searchable records.

User Permissions Needed
To assign permission sets: Assign Permission Sets
To set field-level security: Manage Profiles and Permission Sets
  1. Assign the Health Cloud Provider Search permission set to users. See Assign a Permission Set to Multiple Users.
  2. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Profiles, and then select Profiles.
  3. Select the name of the Profile to edit.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. In the Standard Object Permissions section, assign Read access to the fields in the Care Provider Searchable Field object and the source object:

  6. Save your changes.
  7. Repeat for the Analytics Cloud Integration User.
    Provider Search uses Data Pipeline definitions with Data Processing Engine to generate the searchable records. The Data Processing Engine includes an Analytics Cloud Integration User profile, which requires Read access on all objects, fields, and custom fields used in Provider search.
  8. Repeat for additional profiles that need read access.
