There are a few ways to create service territory member records.
- On the Service Territory record (for a facility), click Assign Service Resources.
- On the Service Resource record (for a provider), click Assign Service Territories.
- On the Healthcare Practitioner Facility record, update the Service Territory Member field.
Here’s how to do it from the Service Territory record.
-
From the App Launcher, find and select Salesforce Scheduler
Setup.
This app opens up multiple object tabs, including Service Territories, Service Resources, Operating Hours, and more.
- Go to the Service Territories tab.
- Open a service territory record, then click Assign Service Resources.
-
To select one or more service resources, click
next to each one.
- Click Next.
-
For each of the selected service resources, select a Territory Type. The default is
Primary.
The primary territory is typically the facility where the provider works most often—for instance, near their home branch. Secondary territories are facilities where providers can be assigned to appointments. A service resource can have only one primary service territory but can have multiple secondary service territories.
- Set start dates for the service resources. Optionally, set end dates.
-
Save your work.
